Reviewing a cat furniture sample
Use an agreed specification to structure the sample discussion before moving to a production order.
Check the correct model first
Match the sample to the requested model and revision. Keep the agreed dimensions, material notes, color references and packaging brief together so that the review refers to one specification.
Review assembly and appearance
Compare the components, fixings, platforms and visible finishes with the agreed brief. Follow the intended assembly instructions and note anything that needs clarification. Photographs of specific details make feedback easier to interpret.
Discuss intended use and market requirements
Consider the product’s intended use, overall construction and stability. Tell the team about any destination-market requirements before the order is confirmed. Do not assume a general sample review replaces required testing or documentation.
Record changes clearly
Separate accepted details from requested changes. For each change, identify the model, location and preferred result. Confirm whether a revised sample or updated specification is needed.
Confirm the production reference
Before the order moves forward, agree which sample, specification and packing requirements are the final reference. Lead time and order arrangements should be reconfirmed at this stage.
