Preparing an OEM/ODM cat furniture brief
A clear brief connects your market, design direction and order requirements before development starts.
Explain who the product is for
Describe your target customers, market and sales channel. Reference the role the product will play in your range, such as a compact scratching post or a larger climbing and resting structure.
Choose a starting point
You can begin with an existing catalog model, request modifications or discuss a new concept. Identify which elements are essential and which can be reviewed, including dimensions, structure, materials, colors and accessories.
Send visual and dimensional references
Photos, sketches and a simple dimension list help make the brief specific. Where you share a reference image, explain the detail you want to discuss rather than assuming every visible feature is included.
Include brand and packing needs
Share label artwork, logo placement, assembly instructions and retail packaging requirements. Packaging should be considered with the product so that components, presentation and shipment needs can be reviewed together.
Agree on the next step
Provide an estimated quantity and requested schedule. The team will need to confirm the specification, sample arrangements and commercial details for the individual project.
